1. Acceptance
By using the Athab Al-Tilawa platform, website and app (together, “the platform”), or by creating an account on it, you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. About the platform
Athab Al-Tilawa is a platform for Qur’an, nasheed and Prophetic hadith competitions, operating under the sponsorship of Jordan Television and the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places. Its content and public services can be browsed without an account; applying to competitions and following applications require one.
3. Accounts
- An account is created with a phone number, verified by a code sent by text message. You undertake to keep your details accurate and up to date.
- Each person may hold one account. You may not create an account in someone else’s name or impersonate anyone.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for never sharing your verification code.
- Participants under 18 may register and take part only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Taking part in competitions
- Each competition and track has its own conditions (age group, dates, recording requirements, prizes and more), shown on its page. They form part of these Terms and prevail over them in case of conflict.
- The platform may ask for additional details needed to check eligibility, such as date of birth and gender, and some tracks require identity verification.
- Submitting an application does not mean it is accepted; the competent committee reviews applications against the published conditions.
- Participants must follow the dates and instructions, and bear the consequences of missing them.
5. Your entries and content
- You keep ownership of your recitation or performance. By uploading an entry you grant the platform and the organising and sponsoring bodies a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for the purposes of the competition: judging, archiving, announcing results, media coverage and promoting the competition, as set out in each competition’s conditions.
- You confirm that the entry is your own performance in your own voice, that it infringes no one’s rights, and that it complies with the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Judging, results and appeals
Entries are judged by specialist judges against published criteria. Results are announced on the platform and may be appealed within the period and in the manner set by each competition’s conditions. The committee’s decisions, once appeals have been settled, are final.
7. Prizes
Each competition’s conditions set its prizes and how and when they are awarded. Prizes are not exchanged or transferred to anyone other than the winner except as those conditions provide.
8. Suspension and disqualification
Without prejudice to any other right, the platform may disqualify an entry, cancel a result, or suspend or delete an account where a breach of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or a competition’s conditions is established, or where the details provided prove to be inaccurate.
9. The platform’s intellectual property
The design, logos, texts and software of the platform belong to their owners and are protected. They may not be copied or used beyond legitimate personal use without written permission. The sponsors’ names and logos remain their property.
10. Disclaimer
The platform and its services are provided “as is”. We strive for accurate prayer times, qibla direction and Hijri dates, but they are approximate calculations that may differ from official local calendars; please rely on the official authorities in your country where needed. To the extent permitted by law, the platform is not liable for interruptions or failures beyond its control, or for indirect damage arising from its use.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time and will publish the updated version on this page with its date. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the legislation in force in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
13. Contact
For any question about these Terms, please contact us through the official channels published on the platform.
